Hi all,

I have bought a 2900 pro (GDDR4) and have installed it but my core is at 506 mhz and the memory is at 513 mhz.........why so slow Rivatuner will not let my overclock and if i could the max the memery will go in the slide bar is 775 mhz

Any ideas???

In Riva Tuner (2.05) select 3d clocks first then move them :) You might have to enable the overclocking feature in that first however.

You need to do as Scougar says, as you cant see the 3D clocks in the CCC, as you can only view CCC on the desktop, and when you view it on the desktop, your on 2D speeds, you need to run a game or something, for the clocks to change to 3D speeds, but doing that you cant see the CCC, or i think you can run the artifact test in ATi Tool (spinning cube) to see the clocks change to their 3D speeds in that to. :)

I tryed that, but the clocks still say 506 and 513 have i got a dud card??

If you open CCC Overdrive, the Requested clock speed is the clockspeed it will run at in 3d.

Try 3dmark06 and psot your score with CPU

Cheers

Have you tried ATITool?

In ATItool 0.27, click the settings button bottom left

The from the dropdown at the top select HD 2000 Overclocking (or similar)

Make sure the tick box "If card has 2D/3D clocks, switch to 3D clocks when starting ATItool" is checked

Edit: Did you do a fresh install of RivaTuner? it does a system scan on install from memory and could be confused by you previous card

Overdrive doesn't have to work, it will still make the 3D clocks go up to 600/800 or whatever the specs are. Basically overdrive is more than just an overclocking utility, it will also display you clock speed. As mentioned, where it says requested clock, that means it will go upto 600 on the core and 800 (1800ddr) on the memory. Currently it's running in 2D mode (slower clocks) as it doesn't need to be sucking all that power and will run cooler.

OK, do you have the latest version of RivaTuner? (It's 2.05). Uninstall any current version you have and install that :)

I'll tell you more when you let me know :D

If you see the slide bars then your on the right screen. On that screen should be an option to enable overclocking. Tick that option. Then select 3D clocks. If your not sure about it all, just take it slow and ask more advice as you don't want to screw your card.

Theres a thread on here somewhere ... google for Direcpll.dll then follow below

New Direcpll.dll for 3DMark05, 3DMark06 and PCMark05
----------------------------------------------------

On some hardware 3DMark05, 3DMark06 and PCMark05
may hang at the splash screen. The new version of
Direcpll.dll is a quick fix to enable users to run
all Futuremark benchmarks using all the latest hardware.

Usage
-----

Windows XP:

1. Locate the following folder: %WINDIR%\system32\Futuremark\MSC\
2. Rename the old Direcpll.dll to e.g. "_Direcpll.dll"
3. Copy the new Direcpll.dll to the same folder

Windows Vista 32bit:

1. Locate the following folder: %WINDIR%\system32\Futuremark\MSC\
2. Rename the old Direcpll.dll to e.g. "_Direcpll.dll", and press
"Continue" whenever prompted
3. Copy the new Direcpll.dll to the same folder, and press
"Continue" whenever prompted

Verify
------

You should verify that the new Direcpll.dll is version
4.10.1.92. You can check it by right-clicking on the DLL
and select Properties, then Details.

Future Updates
--------------

Please note that this fix is temporary.
Futuremark
is working on an official update which will soon
be available at http://www.futuremark.com.

Easier to ue the nosysteminfo command line, but it means that you can't submit to the website for validation if you use that :(
