Thought it would be good to have a thread for people to post their clockspeeds in, which OC tool you are using, and what mods/cooling you are running!

At the moment I have PSU issues (think Hiper Type-R 580W is on its way out), but I'm using the AMD GPU Clock Tool (2x6-pin PSU), and am currently working out my max stable clocks.

you better buy a PSU with the new 8 PCIe connector if you want ot overclock the 2900 to its limits ;)

dont really need 8pin to overclock the card, using two 6pin connectors you can overclock them to 850/2000 easily

Very true, indeed you can, all the fuss about the 8-pin connector is again unfounded. Have to admit at around 850/2000 this thing does fly and is close to the 8800GTX in real game performance on certain games, if it wasn't for the noise, heat and some minor instability I would say this is a very solid card and AMD were right to scrap the 2900XTX on this 80nm GDDR3 setup and use the R650 to go forward.

You don't need 8pin at all to overclock. Even the people using LN2 don't use the 8pin...

Anyway, I've found with standard stock cooling the best OC on the core I can get is 860mhz, and I haven't tryed pushing the mem above 1000 yet, but I'm not sure it needs it, espiciallly considering that this card isn't exactly 'banwidth starved'.

The OC I found can help a lot inb some games. CoH for example had a 10fps boost on the minimum fps (33fps from 22 at stock, all settings maxed @1280x1024), making it much more playable.
