HD3800 problem

when i run a game radeon HD3800 is locking up picture kind of breaks up and screen goes blank for a couple of seconds and then returns to normal, any ideas what this might be, only done it the odd occasion playing wow but i've tried eve and it's happenening all the time.
 
yeah runs fine, i get a windows error message about display device has recovered from a serious error and then runs fine again.
 
nope cards not overclocked, just tried unistalling the drivers and all software using driver cleaner and installed new radeon driver but it's just the same :confused:

this is the card i'm using

HIS HD 3870 IceQ 3 Turbo 512MB (256bit) GDDR4 (Rev 2) PCIe

What driver revision are you using? I got this issue with 9.1's when using crossfire. Have you tried a few different sets of drivers?

This can also be power related, what are your full specs?
