HD555 issues

An amp will help greatly. I have a Xonar D2x and the sound direct to the headphones from it is good but through my NAD amp it's just much better all round.

Give them a while to settle in. This is 50% physical and 50% psychological, but I guarantee that after using them for a few weeks, going back to cheap headphones will sound like hell.

Also what is your experience with sound equipment ? You might think there is no bass, but when moving away from boomy crap you might think there is none. The bass is just better quality and there when needed, not BOOOM 'person talks in deep voice 'BOOOOOOOOOM', machine gun fires 'BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM'



That amp looks horrible, truly horrible : Do yourself a favour and check the Darkvoice 336 amp, available from a few sellers off ebay. Will get one when I eventually get some HD600/650.

No have moved one from the above amp some time ago mate - looking at a Beresford 7510 atm
