HD5870 CF, stuttering!

Solved!! :D

The problem was a GPU monitoring Gadget I had installed, I completely forgot about it but after disabling it the stuttering disappeared right away.

I think it's a simalar problem to what your describing with CCC, as it's to do with the programs accessing the sensor information.

Well i've only been using this a few days so we will see, unfortunately not spent much time gaming with it yet.

But from some quick tests with Crysis, BFBC2 and Metro 2033 the performance is looking good.

Also did some vantage runs mainly to compare performance using 2x16x slots and 16x + 8x, performance was exactly the same so I'll just leave the them in slots 1 and 3, both load at just over 70C like this. :D
 
what res are u gaming at?

Also, can you or anyone else confirm if there are any BC2 issues with 5870 xfire or any hotfixes that need to be installed?
 
Looks liie overclocking isnt an option, the single card could do 1000/1300, in crossfire I can't even do 900/1250 stable with 1.200V, not great.
