hello all. 1st post to these forums. just getting into watercooling for the first time, i've put a single loop into my corsair 650D with a magicool 280 rad up top and an ekwb 120 rad on the rear - cpu temps are good so i'm happy with it for a first attempt. i will have to put some pics up.

I want to add my powercolor HD6970 into the loop, I think the loop can handle the additional heat as i dont overclock. So i bought the ekwb 6970 full block - and then only found out afer i dismantled the heatsink that its a non-reference design :( (should have done my homework first). Back it went. I can't afford to change the card so i've ordered the EK-VGA supreme gpu-only block, but now my concern is the ram and VRMs - they have heatsinks on them but i'm not sure they can get away with only passive cooling and normal case airflow. i'd rather not put additional fans on them. I don't overclock the card. what do you guys think?

I did the same thing afew weeks back water cooled my 6950 , as long as they got heatsinks on em they should be fine, , I have a 200mm fan blowing onto em from side of case but shouldn't be a issue without

thanks. i've got a clear perspex side panel so i cant mount any fans on it. if i have to i guess i could just sit an undervolted 120mm fan on top of the psu blowing upwards onto the card.
