HD7000 Series bios editing

Majority of 7000 series cards should have dual bios switches, so there isn't much risk of a perma brick.

I'll try my card with a minor nudge on the voltage and get some before and afters in the process.

Haven't flashed an amd/ati card in a few years, dos boot stick still generally considered the safest way?

I hope the tool evolves to give memory volt and clock setting control too. Set my cards at a permanent 1250/1800 :D

Its quite frustrating that Tahiti LE doesn't, so much potential in it if it did.

Do you have a second amd card humbug? As you can force flash a bricked card from another :)

Think you flash via slot number.

I do but not with me, lent it out, I could get it back but I also don't want to risk bricking the only BIOS on the GPU, I thought about this when updating the BIOS to a newer and apparently better one.

In all honesty in all of my 15 years of owning self builds I have never had the courage to flash a GPU BIOS with no fallback if it went wrong.

I did have a Sapphire 6950 with a dual BIOS and tried to unlock it to a 6970, it really didn't like it. lucky it had dual BIOS.

Nice, a few months ago I spent ages trying to undervolt my HD 7850 to no avail, now I can go back to planning my 7850 PicoPSU project if this works...

Been reading about this, going to leave the dust to settle and wait and see what comes of it before jumping in as the only thing I'd probably do is add +50% Power Limit as 1100/1500MHz is plenty fast for me in CrossFire tbh.

But you never know.;)
