HD7970 matrix no div signal?

Hi,

Just dropped a matrix in my build and get no output. Lights on card, fans spinning, green lights above pcie connectors.

Connected to a msi z68a.

Corsair tx750 psu

I tried two 6+2 leads, then these into the 2x6 to 8 lead in gpu box plus one other 6+2 lead.

Any ideas?

I've just removed a msi 570gtx and removed drivers first

Have you tried both DVI outputs?

Also, have you updated to the latest BIOS for your motherboard?

Is it just the BIOS and POST youre not seeing or does it not show anything as it boots windows?

What monitor have you got?

Tried both dvi. Nothing is appearing on the screen, just no divi output. No I haven't updated bios, should I put the old card back in and try that....

Try the old card back in, sounds like the card is a duff one.

As mentioned, this is what I suspect your problem is. I couldn't get a signal either until I updated the bios.

What bios updates have been made for gpus, I didn't realise this.

Try updating your motherboard bios (I wasn't referring to the graphics card).

Make sure AHCI is set correctly.

what a night...

I now get directx function getdeviceremovedreason failed with dxgi_error_device_hung when playing BF4

the gaming gods are not on my side today..looking around this seems to be a problem for many :/
