HDD and crysis performance question?

just analysed my HD with O&O defrag professional, its 61.7% fragmented, will this have anything to do with stuttering in crysis?

if thats the rest of the spec in your sig, then i really would doubt it.

Games are so big its prob good to defrag after installing esp if you get issues.

Maybe your running 2 high resolution for the 8800GTS as it has only has 320MB memory
lower the resolution let crysis auto pick the best settings.
remember this game running on a high end PC uses all you have in the system to the full.

ps mine ran smooth until I enabled dx10 settings etc , now I get the accasionally stutter... whilst playing

Go to Advance and reduce the settings - its under the heading System

The reason it seems to be locking up or dragging is your settings are wrong

Bear in mind we are still waiting for the 1st patch to sort out issues like this

I agree I think its down to the card in your machine not the CPU or memory - I have BFG 8800 GTX OC and it rocks in Crysis CPU is the E6850 - Not OC the CPU - Memory 4Gb so seeing as we have the same spec even though u have your CPU OC then it must be the graphics card

well i defragged, it helped a little, but i still get occational stuttering, gotta be the GTS im thinking, well NVIDIA refresh due in the not to distant future and crysis patch so, happy days
