Having an issue where whilst in game, one of my mechanical drives is ticking/beeping. This stops once i exit the game. Drive is the following model.

750GB 3,5" Seagate Barracuda ST3750640AS SATA2 7200rpm 16MB

Also the intel RST control centre throws up a warning that the disk has disconnected. Though it's still visible/accessible in my computer. Ive ran a quick hd tune error scan which comes up clean. Any ideas guys.

Yep, health status showing as ok. After posting the op last night, i shut the system down and went to make a cuppa, came back to find it still powered up, no display on screen and the same clicking/beeping coming from the case.

Yep, cable swapped for a brand new one. Booted up just now, (took longer than usual) Drive is still clicking. And its missing in my computer.

Now getting warnings of iminent failure on my 1tb sammy F3 from intel rst. Health status showing ok in hd tune and passed quick error scan. On boot sometimes it displays a smart warning and F1 to enter setup. Though the following is showing up.

Seems rather odd that both are giving up on you at the same time, stupid question but is the FSB @100mhz? Might just be a coincidence.

Yep, its at 100 in bios and showing so in cpuz. Also installed latest rst, same error messages.
