HDD cloning

I've cloned a 2.5" hard disk using Macrium reflect, however when I plugged the new hard disk in there was no response the screen just stayed blank !

Help please.

Was I supposed to copy a small partition of about 40 Mb or is that specific to the old HDD

could be,but try setting your new cloned hdd as first boot device or hdd priority in your bios

It's a laptop, nothings changed compared to the previous hdd although DVD is set as the first boot disk

i would copy/clone the whole drive inc all partitions

does it automatically mark the partitions with the boot flag? might need to go back and add it

also when you say blank screen i assume the computer is still able to POST and its jsut before the laoding windows bit that it goes blank?

yes that's correct. How do I make the partition bootable.

I'm going to have to start again as I plugged the 2.5 hdd into a new comp and it said there were some errors, well it supposedly fixed them now I get
Ntoskrnl.exe Missing or Corrupt Error
