I have mine here; http://www.fobose.plus.com/PC/Behind Mirage Door.jpg - use it as an intake fan.

But it there are 2 other ways of having it, horizontal with its "bezel" exposed at the front of the case or behind one of your case's bezels - both these ways seem silly as they would only blow warm air inside your case down on to your hard drives.
Does the Kama-Bay come with 5.25" to 3.5" mounts?

Right, I've got 3 internal hard drives which are starting to get really hot, especially in this recent weather. Best thing seems to be this:

Scythe Kama-Bay System/Hard Drive Cooler - Silver

..but was wondering if it is and if 1 would be ok to cool 3 (would it be good enough and it would it fit and cover 3 bays). Also where does\can it go? Cheers

hmm with the solid railings it'll still transmit HD vibrations to the case. You want something like the Coolermaster 4-in-1 module, but with a filter/front panel.

Lian Li do something similar, don't know if they fit into standard cases.

What do you use to mount your drives?

My hdd's are in my HDD caddie, which holds 5 hdd's and is behind a 120mm fan (case intake), I use the kama just as an extra intake fan as my hdd's block most of the case fans airflow ;)

Ok, I reckon I need more than this. My hard drives are getting extremely hot (can't touch them for long on the bottom). I've got 2 80mm fans mounted behind them but the trouble is that the fans can't suck in much air anyway (just a few drilled holes in the front of the case) so I doubt a Kama is going to do much good. What's the best way to cool hard drives, OR, what case is good for implementing the use fans for hard drive cooling, or whatever's best! Thanks

I have a lian li and confirm that it fits into a normal case. I have it in my Gigabyte Aurora. I have the EX-33B and think it's great. It makes the front of the case more attractive and cools well. The Lian Li range also include rubber grommets for mounting the hdd's, unlike other offerings from coolermaster. You also don't need to remove it from the case to remove the hard drives.

Have a look here, rghjones, more more info: http://www.lian-li.com/product/product04.php?cl_index=2&sc_index=5&ss_index=12

A new case it sounds like. Really can't see any other way unless you do some serious modding.

Best case's i'm reliably informed are the Akasa eclipse and Lian Li (expensive) sexy cases (maybe sexy isn't a word to be used when talking about computers, worrying)

The 4-in-1 module does have rubber grommits The HD's slide into the metal cage, but between the cage and contact area of the PC case there's a metal panel either side with grommits- the 4-in-1 has rods which slide into them. So no direct metal-metal contact.
