Hi All,

So i have two mechanical drives in my PC one a very old slow WD Green (yuck) was ripped from an external drive, and also a bog standard seagate.

Both appear to be slowing, and games take awhile to load a times, I did put HD Tune on but apparently im out of trail so have to pay £35 for it which is cost of a new hdd so no point.

I use a program called Crystal disk but its confusing me abit.

I can see reallocated sectors which is never a good thing i know, but is this likely to get worse?

Can you look at images and please enlighten me?

Thanks in advance

With our drives, you will want to take 3rd party diagnostic program results with a grain of salt. The reasons for this have to do with that we do not publish drive attributes/thresholds, and it is recommended that you use our free diagnostic software SeaTools to scan the drive for errors. This Knowledge Base Article explains in more depth.

If you'd like to look into potential warranty information, you can check out our Warranty Validation Tool.

You could also try defragmenting the drives either through Windows' defrag tool or a 3rd party one such as Defraggler.

With any hard drive and any data that is valued, it is always a good idea to have a solid backup strategy in place, that way even if it is having errors and does get worse, your data stays safe regardless.
