Hi,

I have any old Sony Vaio VGN N38-E & the HDD has just died, so I am going to replace it with a SSD.

Could someone please recommend the fastest ssd model that I could buy that would be compatible with my laptop motherboard.

Any help would be grate,

Thanks.

corsair gt
vertex 3 or 4
crucial m4
intel 520

any of those would be fine imo,its up to you which one suits your needs/budget

Looking for good amount of storage & high speed is a must.

Silly question but will my old laptop take sata-3 ssd's or can I only use sata-2 ssd.

I have never had a ssd before; have seen post’s on here recommending Intel for reliability, also the crucial m4 seams a popular choice.

Anyone got any ssd that they would recommend.

Thanks.

Either are very good, if you need the extra storage 180GB might not be a bad idea if you can afford it :)

weekly deals should change soon, so look out for SSDs on offer!
