HDD enclousre? Stupid Question

Hi,
What do you call those "things" that go into your cd bay
and allow you to plug in hard drives from the front of the pc without having to open it?

I am talking about the ones that let you plug in any normal hdd

ideally it would need to be SATA

There are plenty of names, hot swap caddie, removeable enclosure, thing for taking a disk out a pc....

Im more after one that uses normal sata disks,
But thanks that did help a lot

I don't know of any that will accept a bare drive with no rails or caddy, the IcyDock one is probably the nearest, it's just a wee frame which attaches to the drive.

Those 2 that RPStewart suggested do take normal sata drives, they're just mounted in removable trays for easy access - sounds exactly like what you're after?
