HDD error count fail?

Hi everyone,

my friend is talking about selling me a HDD he has and I am interested, however he says it passes the S.M.A.R.T test fine but it fails the error count on the test.

What exactly does that mean?

Hmmm, it's a 1tb HDD for £20. It is only going to be used for backing up files. But best to avoid for sure?
