I did fitness check yesterday with speedfan on all 3 of my hdd's.
I have 3 hdds's:
Primary master : 250 gig Western digital Caviar 8mb pata100mb 7200 Drive - WDC WD2500JB-00GVA0 Bout 2 years old i think (unsure) C: and E: partitions both FAT32
Primary Slave: 164.7 gig Hitachi Dekstar 8mb 7200 - HDS722516VLAT20 about 3 years old (also unsure, oldest hdd anyhow) Pata100mb D: and F: partitions both NTFS
Third Master : Maxtor Diamonmax10plus 300gig 72090 16mb sata150mb - Model ID Maxtor 6L300S0 bout 9 months old H: partition NTFS
Now: my primary (not oldest tho) hdd, the WD: The overall fitness for this drive is 99%.
The overall performance for this drive is 99%.
Hitachi oldest hdd: The overall fitness for this drive is 100%.
The overall performance for this drive is 100%.
Maxtor newest hdd: The overall fitness for this drive is 92%.
The overall performance for this drive is 92%. + NOTE : your hard disk Ultra DMA CRC Error Rate attribute current value (1) is below the normal range (83 - 199) reported for your specific hard disk model. This usually means that some communication errors occurred between the hard disk and the external controller. Most likely those errors are due to the cable. Double check it, reroute it and, if needed, replace it.
Shoudl i be worried about the maxtor, also why are these values so strange, why is my oldest hdd the fittest and my newest the worst fitness?
Thanks in advance, i have a lot of data on the maxtor and dont wnat to lose it , hope it wont die in next 3 months or so
