hdd for £60?

looking for a quick boot drive, don't need much more than 200gb max.

willing to go over £60 if it's worth it.

Or if you are willing to settle for either a 36 or 74GB HDD, then a WD Raptor may suit.

There's also the Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 32MB Cache SATA-II 500GB for £65ish I believe. A bit better than that WD Caviar.

What about a Samsung F1 320GB Single Platter hard drive to replace my raptor which has been acting up!

Well I am well impressed, a very very slight bit slower on boot up, but as for the rest I honestly couldn’t tell the difference, my Vista score (5.9 hard drive) hasn’t changed and all my applications run just as smooth.

Your cheapest option and one of the fastest outside Raptors would probably be a Seagate 7200.10 250gb which uses a single platter.
