hdd for amigas

anyone know what type of hard drives are used on amigas plz

What ones? the 1200 models?

You can put standard pc laptop hard drives in those, but I guess don't put one in with a huge capacity, as the Amiga might not recognise that.

I stuck a 500 meg one into a 1200 without any problems.

So thats a 2.5inch EIDE drive then

I believe early versions of Kickstart restricted the hdd size to 40mb although later versions could take up to 4gb. So you'll need to find something old. You best bet would probably be to find a really old laptop and rip it out.
