Howdy,

Think this will be the right forum for this post?

I have a issue with my PC, as I have a hardware failure going on somewhere, but its random but at present I don't know what is causing the problem.

XP runs fine, and I never have the BSODs (except on installation) but on Vista it does the BSODs quite often. Now I need my PC for work, so I am back to XP now, but when I try to investigate the problem I will put Vista back on my PC and start the fiddling.

Well I really only want to do this til I find the problem, then I want to put XP back on... but its so much aggro installing everything again so I want to create an image/backup of the exact state of my HDDs.

I think Norton Ghost does this, but I found a open source program: http://selfimage.excelcia.org/ and I was wondering if anyone here knows anything bout it? Is it any good? Or is there a better tool?

Just to clarify, I want to create an EXACT copy of EVERYTHING on my C: and D: drives, and when I have finished with Vista, I want to just copy it all back to my HDD... is that possible? Does "SelfImage" do this?

Any help will be appreciated!
