HDD mounts/mounting kit.

About a year ago I purchased a OCUK system and it's time to upgrade my HDD.
I have purchased a 2TB drive and was looking to mount it along side the currently installed 1TB drive.

I have 2 options that I am considering:-

1. Replace the 1TB with the new 2TB drive. (The simplest option)
or
2. Mount the new drive along side the current one. However I do not have the required
mounts and cables to do so.

I am fine with the first option, but if I am to mount the drive along side the current one it seems like I will need some kind of mounting kit, can anyone here recommend what kind of kit I will need to purchase.

The drive in question is a 3.5" SATA III drive.

Cheers in advance

Tim

Depends on the case really, HDDs have to be fixed and level or they can break. You probably have a spare cable hanging off your PSU already for power, and SATA cables are very cheap, so shouldn't be an issue there.

The case is a Kolink Micro ATX case.

By the looks of things I will need some kind of side mounting brackets/screws for the drive to slide into the spare slot and going by what you have mentioned I will need a SATA cable. Can I buy all this in some kind of kit from OC or maybe Amazon?
Any recommendations?

If you've got the Kolink Cube then you shouldn't need any extra brackets but it does look like the drives are mounted on anti-vibration bushes. If OcUK didn't supply a bag of bits with the case then you may have a problem.

Looking at the manual for the Citadel it appears that the drive just slides in on the left screws then you fit on the right. It also appears that your case only comes with one lot of HDD screws, talk about cheap.

Sata cables are much the same. OC have them for a couple of £. Just check the length.

I'd ring and ask them if they have any screws and grommets you can buy, as you bought the PC from them. They are available in packs but at a tenner!

But Kolink Micro case could literally be anything. Need to know the specific model to be sure.
