Hi all,

The 2 x 3TB HGST Deskstar 7k3000 which have been absolute troopers for the past 10 years have finally started to give up the ghost and are begging to be released from my HP N54L.
A couple of clicks here, a little re-seek there, a creepy chirp whenever they want to.

The system currently has:-
1 x western Digital WD60EMAZ-11LW3B0 6TB
1 x Toshiba HDWE140UZSVA - 4TB
I'm looking for a 6TB to replace the pair of 7K3000, with a view to fulling the 4th bay at a later date.
It's powered up 24/7 with minimal to no power saving on the drives, I'm sure I read somewhere that constant spin-up and spin-down can impact the longevity of the drive but I don't know if that's true....?

Any drives I should avoid, or any drives that I must absolutley get?

Cheers
