Sounds like you need to download the drivers for the Raid Controller and manually use them as part of the install...
Cool ok,
How would I go about doing that?
Hmmm
Still no luck.
It's a Western Digital HDD, I'd rather not rule it out as faulty yet.
I've tried both the CD and Hard Drive in each of the SATA sockets.
It seems to be whatever is connected to the SATA3 sockets, the device doesn't function properly.
did you try it in the sata 2 port?
did you pull the battery for a minute?
I'm gonna try and install Windows, and install the RAID/ AHCI drivers.
Just removed the battery for a minute, I can read the HDD in BIOS again now.
Now during the Windows 7 install, it can't find the HDD and says I need to install drivers?
Having read the motherboard manual, it says I need to do this via a floppy disk which I don't have.
What do I need to do lol?
on windows 7 you can do it with a flash drive.... those drivers should be in
the motherboard cd that came with it...there should be a heading make a
disk once the cd is loaded.....follow the instructions from there.
just a thought why dont you put it on sata2 and load windows...once in
windows load the sata3 drivers for the motherboard and change the ports
over then?
