Afternoon all.

I'm building a new PC which was going to be for streaming games from my main rig, however since I have a GTX970 in it I thought it might actually be better to stick a larger disk in it and run them direct.

So here's the question.

Assuming I'm running the OS on a Samsung SM951 128gb (£80) (Which is as yet un purchased)

Do I:
A) Get a 500GB SM951 (£270 Total)
B) Get a 1TB 850 Evo (£380 total)
C) Get a 4TB WD Black (£240 total)
D) Re-purpose my old 1TB Laptop drive (£80 total cost)

I'm looking for enough space to store:
Diablo 3, Boarderlands 2, Witcher 3, and a few other current games.
I'd be tempted to say that I'd like to keep it well under the 1TB mark, although I'm concerned I'll struggle to fit on a 500GB drive (although only requiring an M2 drive is definitely a benefit.

While total cost isn't a massive issue, I'd rather pay more for the RIGHT solution, than save my money and have something I'm not happy with.
So, I'm kind of looking for enough space, for the right money but with the right speeds.

Advice is very welcome.

Personally I'd go with a 50/50 solution, so you get the best of both worlds e.g the 500GB SM951 and 1TB laptop HDD.

My preferred choice would be 500gb SSD and a 2TB HDD (minimum)

I only have a 2TB HDD in my PC and a 120gb SSD ATM but would prefer a 512gb for certain games.

Noise & speed

Yes, and then on two seperate backup solutions..

One of these is a softraid of many hard drives, the other is large hard drives with another copy of the files.
