Hey guys,

I have (for the first time) two internal HDDs and have came to a decision to do a clean reinstall of windows 7. All day I've been trying to find information for the best way to partition the drives but have not got anywhere with it. Quick info:

HDD 1 : Is 1TB Samsung
HDD : 500GB Seagate Barracuda

Anyhow, I'm currently backing up my files on my spare HDD (500GB). After its done I will reinstall windows and then restore my files. Hopefully this is correct.

Before, I install any drivers and programs. I'm thinking to have my OS and programs all on my 1TB HDD and have all my documents, users on the 500GB HDD. This will also have a backup on it, incase anything fails.

Is this a decent setup? I'm new to this and usually had everything all on one partition so hopefully I do it all right.

Regards

Stefan

Funds permitting, grab a 120 gb ssd (Samsung 840 evo is a very good one) for Windows only, then use your 1t Samsung hdd for general storage and the 500gb for backups;)
