HDD Problem

My main HDD has started to make a strange clicking noise every now and again its still very intermittent and there seems to be no trigger that starts it off that is noticeable to me anyway.

Is it on its last legs, I'm about to back it up anyway?

What, you mean you haven't backed up yet?!?

At the risk of starting to sound like a broken record, get Speedfan or somesuch HDD SMART capable tool, see what it says, and also get the manufacturers diagnostics and run a full diagnostic scan of the drive. If it's failing get it sent back. (Tools can be downloaded from manufacturers website as listed in the sticky at the top of the forum.)

I've not back this drive up for about a month only thing I'm worried about is pictures on there.

Will give the tools a go and see what happens, I've been online for about3 hours now and no strange noises yet...
