Hey I have the following spec:

Intel Pentium 4 Northwood CPU 2.40GHz
Dimension 8200
NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600 128MB
256 RDRAM @ 798MHz
Western Digital Caviar 120GB

If I buy a 250Gb Seagate SATA Hard Drive could I stick it in to my motherboard and remove the other HDD.

1) I know the new one is SATA and my old HDD I assume is IDE? Will it work fine?

2) Do I need any cables?

3) Doesnt come with Serial-ATA drivers, so where could these be downlloaded?

Thanks,

Thanks,

From what I can see, it's an IDE motherboard and it does not support SATA drives.

Best way to check, is open the case up and see if you have any SATA ports on the motherboard.

Can't see any mention of SATA ports.
