HDD S.M.A.R.T Problem

Hi Guys, I was wondering for some advice on whats happening on my hard drive. Basically I ran a S.M.A.R.T Test using HDDSCAN for an error reported. All the sections seem to be fine apart from the two which say

197-Current Pending Errors Count 100-100
198-Uncorrectable Errors Count 100-100

I was wondering does this mean there are errors in the data I have stored in the hard drive and it is going to run the risk of HDD failure?

Or is this HDD fine and I can store new back ups etc on there still and just ignore it?

P.S I also ran the same test with a different hard drive but however these values listed above are registered as being fine for the different hdd.

Re:

Have or can you back up the data from it and do a full format? Then see what smart says, could right click the drive and run chkdisk on it

Thanks for the reply.

I'm planning to purchase a new hdd and back up the data from this "faulty" hdd and then running a chkdisk on it.

If I just ran the Chkdisk now will it affect the data inside the hdd in any way?
