HDD/SDD Problem???

Link goes no where.

Check Disk Management, it's there, but not formatted yet. Hence why you cannot see it under "Computer". You need to format it first before you can use it. If you're installing Windows on it though, the install disk will format it for you while installing Windows. Just make sure you unplug the other drives first so all boot files goes onto the SSD. And be sure to install in AHCI mode.

Gotta speak real simple for me. I booted my PC first time, after buying from OCuk. Everything is fitted. I done what you said for the 1TB HDD. As at first it wasn't showing. But I can't even see my 120gb SSD. I purchased this as an extra too.

I will get back too you. I purchased the 120gb however, so what does this mean? They charged me for something I don't have. As it also says in desc it comes with a 60gb SSD. I Purchased an additional 120gb.

Ah so the SSD is part of the prebuilt system, yup, new link goes to the Titan 8300i.

As Andy said it sounds like you have the 60gb version installed instead (55gb is the SSD). I would contact OcUK Customer Support so they can correct this for you.

Ah well as standard it comes with the 60gb, so the 55gb is the standard 60gb ssd? The 1TB HDD is fine.

But my 120gb isn't there?

Did you order the 120GB separately?

It's an option to add 120gb and I paid for it.

I noticed that also, the description says

I'd make a thread here and get your issue sorted with OcUK

Okay, so you think they havn't installed/sent me the item?

The 55GB will indeed be the 60GB SSD. The 1TB hard drive used for storage will be fine too.

Yes but I paid for an additional 120gb of SSD.

If that's the case, contact OcUK. Follow the link to the Customer Service forum that Andy gave and make a thread there. OcUK will have to sort this out since it's their mistake.

Can you take a screenshot of Disk Management? Just want to make sure the 120gb SSD is not there. Also, can you open the PC and see if there's a spare SSD not connected up? Not sure if this will void warrenty though.

I will have to do this tomorrow if possible. As I am not at home right now.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't there, seeing as I had to "Activate" my TB HDD.

I'll take a picture and show you inside the PC as tbh, I don't know what I'm looking for really.

What do you mean void warranty, surely they will send me a new one if infact I am missing my ssd? I paid extra for it lol!

Posted this in the other thread

I am not sure. Just shows I have two spaces. My C: Drive, 55gb and my HDD 1TB.

But even if my OS were to take up the 60gb cache as you say, I'd still be missing 60gb.

BTW Windows did come pre installed for me. As I did ask them to do this.

Some companies states opening the PC up voids warranty with those silly warranty stickers on the case. Never bought a prebuilt from OcUK though, so I'm unsure on how the OcUK warranty works with the prebuilts.

Better not I purchased another 12 months warranty :D. I wont touch it before they give me advice to do so.

Thanks for the help guys btw, will update thread when I take some screenshots and maybe a picture of the inside if all is good to do so.
