HDD speed question

hi guys, i'm building a new rig but using shoddy old hdds in it. does anyone know which is the faster, of these two?

WD3200AAJS-00RYA0 (some WD Caviar - not sure what edition, 320gb)

and

Seagate BArracuda 7200.7 160GB

The WD is the better bet. It has a better platter density than the Seagate hence a better sustained transfer rate although the random rate will be pretty much similar to the Seagate.

essentially i'll be using both, but now i'm gonna use the WD as my boot
