Heya guys and gals, I am after some more storage drives. I was thinking of picking up 2x3TB and 2x2TB Drives for now, I would have loved 4x4TB but just dont have the money lol.

I was originally going to go for Western Digital Green Drives as these will be used for storage of audio / video content (1 of each drive will be used as a backup whilst other ones are in machine 24/7)

Is this ok or would I be better with a different drive.

I would suggest getting 1 brand for putting into the PC 24/7 and a different one for backup, as this also eliminates the remote chance of a faulty batch of HDDs wiping out both your back up and original data, as for the WD green, if you are not looking for speed, i dont see anything wrong with them, i use them to store audio and video myself

You might wanna consider WD Red or Seagate NAS drives. They are not that expensive than green drives, and you will also get 24x7 working capability, 3 year warranty, and still a good speed.
