Hi,

recently rebuilt my HTPC and it has two HDD. A seagate 320GB and a Western Digital 500 GB.

Everest software reports the temps to be Seagate 49°C and Western Digital 39°C

Make sense as the Seagate is just above the Western Digital.

But are the temps too high ?

Motherboard is about 30°C and CPU is stupidly low like 23°C ??

The temps are probably OK, a touch higher than I'd like to keep my drives, but probably fine. The *max* operating temp for most newer Seagate (7200.10 and newer iirc) drives is 60C, and for other makes it's typically max 55C. I usually stay well away from tha maximum operating temp, but 10C and 15C respectively lower is probably fine. Just try to ensure it doesn't rise to less than 10C, ideally, IMHO.
