hdd tests

i defraged my hdd last night and upon starting it this morning windows would slowly freeze and i would get a quick flash of a bsod and would restart. restarted it several times and im now able to get in to windows.

Are there any good programs i can download to test my hdd? The hdd is a western digital 1600 js

HD Tach is a good program for testing the HDD.

Your random access seems to be shockingly slow, almost half again from what it should be. Burst speed isn't too bad and average read speed seems to be roughly where it should be and the CPU utilisation is pretty high although that is probably down to the controller.
