Hi guys
I'm thinking of upgrading my hdd's come Christmas (only 103 shopping days away!). I'm very tempted by the 40gb Vertex 2E, as it should be more than big enough for an OS/apps drive (currently using 500GB F3s in RAID0). I'm planning on leaving my games on the RAID 0 setup. I'm also tempted to move my docs on therre too (amateur photographer, so lots of photos) and ditch the 1tb F3.
My only real concern is leaving my photos at the mercy of RAID0 (not that I've a problem with it so far).
Will I notice a real performance boost? I've also read that SSDs are happier in AHCI mode - given that my Intel controller will be running in RAID 0, is it going to hold it back?
