HDD vs SATA ports ?

Hello, I was just wondering if my HDD is connected in the good (fastest) SATA port it will accept. Since I don't really know the difference between them to tell you here's a picture below with what i have right now connected and where .

Should I connect the HDD next to the SDD for better performance?

Hopefully that clears up which are grey.
