HDD vs SSHD(Hybrid) drive

I'm planning on building a new computer in the near future and could use some advice on which storage would be best for my media. I plan on having a seperate SSD for everything that I need to be snappy so the media storage is purely high storage and low cost. Is there any performance difference between a hybrid or HDD for read/writing files? I've read up that hybrid storage devices try to store the most accessed files to the SSD portion but that doesn't seem to apply for media. And if I plan on running the media drives in Raid 1 would the hybrid drives make it harder to do?

For media there's going to be no real benefit in having an SSHD.
