HDD which is more important....?

a friend of mine has asked to spec him a new HDD so he can store all his games on and run them from.

upon my search i realised that i did not know what would be better. a bigger Cache? a faster spin speed? or a different controlling factor...?

please help/criticise accordingly. =D

Cache size makes no difference. Spindle speed followed by platter size make the most difference.

As above. Though if it's primarily used for storage then you could go for a lower spindle speed to reduce noise
