Hey,
I have a 300GB external drive and Windows says that 90+ GB are in use but when I open the drive, there are a couple of empty folders and and ico file and an autorun.inf file. Where is the 90+GB?

Have you tried unchecking "hide protected operating system files"?

I have decided to format the drive so it's nearly half way throguh that so this thread can be closed. From a drive visualiser I found that it was a $RECYCLER$ thing holding tons of files.
