HDD's upside down

is it ok to do this, i have been running them like this for a week or two now, they are SATA2, i cant set them the correct way up as they are not in the system and they are sitting on the desk. they are connected via right angle SATA connectors, if i set them the correct way up the cable will get badly bent and may even break the connection on the HDD itself

Yeah, upside down, sideways, and vertical are all fine. Just don't jostle it while it's on.

If you put it upside down make sure you put something underneeth so it catches the data if it falls off. This is a common problem with hard drives installing them upside down.
