HDMI 2.0

You AMD fanboys crack me up LOL

You are the one's trolling here, the OP asked for a card that supported HDMI 2, all I did was state AMD cards do not support HDMI 2 as he may not of been aware that AMD cards do not have this feature, is that my fault?

No, Instead of actually helping and suggesting a card, you got your whinge on about the new releases when OP asked for the cheapest card possible with the feature.

As you are aware.

OP, get the 960 :)

Telling the OP not to buy any AMD card because for reasons unknown to anyone they do not support HDMI 2.0 and this includes their latest cards is not helping how? they may not of been aware of this FACT.

But yes OP should buy a Nvidia card if they want HDMI 2 :p

You didn't answer the question and instead of just saying "any of the 9 series" you got on your rocking horse and just tried a cheap shot. And its not any of the nvidia cards is it? the 7 series dont have 2.0 either, so even your wormy later posts are inaccurate and utterly useless.

simply put you are too busy being an **** to have a positive impact on these forums.

As the others have said, currently only Nvidia's Maxwell cards support HDMI 2.0, so you're currently limited to Titan X, 980Ti, 980, 970 and 960 until Nvidia roll the architecture out to lower end cards too.

AMD and Intel currently don't support HDMI 2.0 (I know Intel don't do discrete cards, but for the price of a 960 it might have been cheaper to get a new low-end CPU and MB if they supported it)

Intel has some sort of convoluted support for it with thunderbolt :S but realistically that isn't an option let alone a cheap one.

I'm quite surprised how little support there is for it even though I'd quite happily see HDMI die.

LOL at all the stick Firefox is getting for saving the OP spending time investigating possible AMD options (which obviously there are none currently).

As mentioned before, if you are just looking to use the tv for film watching and browsing then the Nvidia 950 is the best choice. It comes out on the 17th for around 150 usd and comes with integrated HDMI2.0

And whether Firefox35 meant to troll or not. He was correct although he could have worded it better.

It's not just what you say, it is how you say it.

+1

Its daft all the moaning about the way firefox posted his info, has been more disruptive to the thread than his original comment.

For the Op the 950 looks like it will fit the bill nicely.

No my original answer was NOT meant to troll, I was pointing out AMD cards do NOT support HDMI 2, but yes maybe I could have worded it better :)

Some of the replies on here though are far more guilty of trolling, it seems some people just cannot stand anything negative being said about their beloved AMD, the second anyone dares some plank jumps on and plays the trolling card. if you are not pro AMD then you're an enemy.

I get asked all the time why I am posting in the Fury X owners thread (even though I purchased 2 Fury X's) lets flip this around shall we, what are AMD owners doing in a thread enquiring about HDMI 2 support when AMD cards do not feature this?

Like I said bunch of hypocrites.

You've had your 2 seconds of fame so calm down cheesy chops. No one cares if you try and sneak in an AMD insult now and again to chase fame like a poorly reported on celebrity or a kid with ADD as the thread has been completed with full answers and people noted you wasn't trolling but obviously with all your follow up comments it's clear you do tend to like to troll or be abrasive within the forums. You can defend your position without slamming the word fanboy around or acting like an injustice is done every 2 seconds but I suppose that would kill your minute of fame. In the end some people perceived your post as trolling, they was wrong but you then proved they wasn't far wrong with the quality of your follow up posts and others have given proper answers to the question so the thread is complete /end thread/.

I posted in here because I gave the OP an actual answer - why are you here? ^_^ You don't have to own a HDMI 2.0 card to answer a question on it as my post shows. I just don't get why you hate AMD so much that you have to take cheap shots at them in every thread - but each to their own I guess.

LOL This thread is a train wreck.....

A simple questioned asked by the OP and derailed at speed......

OP, GTX 950 when it comes out next week (might be) would be an ideal fit.

Time to lay off the pipe. ;)

To be fair firefox the way you worded it was deliberate however you want to spin it! Many could have quite easily worded it better that wouldn't of derailed the thread. And there is announced support for HDMI 2.0 for the AMD cards and other cards in the form of a adapter but this has yet to be seen but is supposed to be here in end of 2015
http://www.vesa.org/news-events/press-kits/

But the cheapest and best option is the GTX 960! 950 is rumoured to be released so 960 is still best option. You didn't care to help OP just to have a quick shot at AMD to stir up a fuss! So keep up the good work! or trolling what ever way you look it at...

Jeeeeeeeeersus H, why would you recommend a card that you then have to buy an adaptor for. It seems to be a sad trait to act as a victim these days. I mean are people really offended by the tone of firefox's post. If you are here is a tip.

That wooden thing(or plastic if you want to be pedantic) is a door, it will open and when you step through it there is a wonderful world outside it.
