Ok so I'm looking through the Internet for some new 3D films.
A website has recommended that along with a 3D Blu ray I should buy a "high speed" HDMI cable capable of 1080p/3D.

Currently I have standard HDMI cables, one for 3D, Xbox, Sky HD into receiver and one out to the tv.

My question is, am I really going to notice the picture differnce? Is it a gimmick or am I really going to see a big improvement after buying 4 new cables..??

Dont buy new cables, they either work or dont, any high-speed HDMI cable is sufficient for sending and receiving 3D video so as long as they are 1.3 or higher you will be fine.

I got 2 of mine from pound land.. Not "high speed" just a standard hdmi, they seem to be working fine?!

Good to hear - for short runs even relatively poor quality cables are fine for passing 1080p video signals.

More expensive cables won't give any better image quality - the only bad things you can see on low quality cables may be "sparklies" or image artefacts. If you don't see these on your current cable then a more expensive cable won't change your viewing experience at all (though there may be a perceived image quality boost due to the placebo effect).
