Hi Guys,

I'm just wondering if anybody can help. It's probably something simple that I'm doing wrong.

I'm trying to connect my laptop to my TV via a HDMI cable (male to male) and when I've connected it to the TV it still says "No Input". I have checked that it is connected ok, so the only thing that I can think of is that the HDMI port of my laptop needs activating.

Can anybody help?

Cheers :)

Kind of need to let us know what laptop you're using...

I know with some Dell laptops we had at work, we had to change some settings in order to get the HDMI to work, but it was documented on their website.

Cheers, It's a Philips Freevents 15NB8611/05. I've had a quick look round Google but couldn't find anything that helped...

Any ideas what it's using graphics wise? ATi/Nvidia or other?

Have you tried switching the tv on and selecting hdmi then connecting the laptop and finally switching it on. Sometimes laptops only detect external displays during boot.
