Just a question for anyone using a HDMI connection on their LCD tv. I have an LG 32LX2R and finally got an upscaling dvd/divx player which uses HDMI (Bargain at 40 quid too) however if i turn the dvd player on it knocks my TV channels off until the dvd player is switched off again. Any ideas? Not really a huge problem as if i turn the dvd player on it means i'm watching something on it so not watching the regular tv channels.

sounds like your "Bargain" may be poorly shielded,

causing electrical interferance. hence why when its off all is fine, when on its knocking out your tv reception.

:D

enjoy it for the bargain it was dude, i would say nowt to worry about unless it knocks out other tvs in your house, could become annoying.

funy how people assume the upscaling processor in £40 players will be superior to those in an expensive LCD.

Well comparing it to my standard DVD player through scart and my new player upscaling to 720p through HDMI there is a difference. To be fair it's not massive and if i'd paid £100+ for the dvd player i'd have been miffed but as it is i've seen an increase in quality.

Can't say it's a problem I've ever encountered. My player has HDMI upscaling and with it running I can still switch between Analog / Freeview / Sky+ / and upscaled HDMI without anything cutting out.

That's for a Panasonic TX32LXD60 and Cambridge Audio DVD89. Allegedly, you can pick up both at the same stockist for a few pennies under £900 if you're lucky...
