HDR in CS2 advice

I've been trying to have a play with the HDR function of HDR today. I've got 3 versions of the same RAW in TIFF format (-2, +2 and 0 exposure) but when I try the HDR funtion it says that there is not enough dynamic range to contruct a HDR image :confused:

How much range do you need???

In CS2 you need at least 5 images with them ideally taken with more than 4 stops difference.

Nope...still getting the same.

From 1 RAW i've produced 5 TIFFs at -4, -2, 0, +2, +4 exposure adjusted in Adobe Brisge.

Confused :confused:

CS2 is very fussy about HDR and really doesn't like doing it when all the files come from one RAW file. You have to take multiple exposures. Alternatively, use Photomatix

Tried photomatix too. It works but when I try and open the TIF file in CS2 it's just all white.

Yes, you need to use images not taken from 1 RAW file.

How many times have you used Photomatix though? As it did the same white thing for me and might be due to limited uses only.

9 is a more adaptful range. HDR Should really be made up different images not ripped from one raw anyway but photomatrix should be doing it for you. I trust you are using the Tone Mapping function ?

After you've done the HDR thing in photomatix you then goto tone mapping and apply that. When that's done you will be able to save as a .jpg or whatever
