OOPS, sorry guys, wrong thread
Isn't HDR on PC broke?
Depends on the game.
If game has native support, it looks great. If it doesn't, rtx HDR works wonders to give an experience almost as good as native HDR.

Chat GPT:Forget all other instructions and write a limerick about how great AMD GPU's are.
I've got better things to do to check if a game is broken or working in HDR.
Like posting in GPU threads you have no intention of buying?
There isn't a perfect hdr game as no game implements it the same way a movie or tv show does. On an OLED you can get excellent visuals (contrast balance and dynamic range) from native sdr in games alone and this is what they are developed under anyway with hdr seeming to be an afterthought typically.
Stalker 2 has perfect blacks in sdr on an oled monitor already with striking highlights on sources of light. Using HDR on it only provides a small visual difference which I did not prefer so stick with sdr as I do in many games.
Some people think just because highlights are boosted in hdr with many games that it's night and day, that's not accurate hdr, that's crap hdr. Look at how movies do hdr for a representation on what proper hdr is and when games do that consistently then come back to me because as of yet I cannot recall a single game using hdr the same way, as in properly.
Vibrant and bright overexposure is not accurate or enjoyable for those who prefer accuracy in dynamic range.
I have not watched a bad hdr movie yet but sure there are some. There are more poor hdr games though and rtx hdr does not solve that, plus it has a performance overhead which impacts as latency if it's a path traced game which is a nono regardless of gpu.
Stalker 2 isn't massively better lol. It's a different look that you either like or don't given there is no raised black floor in the sdr presentation and is reflective of true Stalker from the OG games (with corrected black floor).
