Im finding that one quite hard to believe, any idea what its guna be like as a second PC monitor?
I imagine the dot pitch will be aimed at doing 720p, so if you fancy running your PC at 1280x720 on a 32" screen then fine, much higher res and it'll look carp :)

Its a Samsung CRT - it will be horrible.

The last slimline crt they dod was the most unreliable tv in the history of tv's.

It also does not look like it will do 720p

It has to be 720p or they cant call it hd.

Thi isnt their previous crt either im sure itll be great.

Only the reg are calling it HD-Ready

So your saying that every crt that samsung have made to this point (and they have all been terrible) counts for nothing and that this new one (in a range that is horrific) will be instantly great ?

Ohh and id like to point out im all for HD-CRT's, as ive said in the past the best image ive ever seen was via a HD-CRT projector.

However i dont see such a cheap CRT being any good - look at the last Samsung slimfit - it had terrible geometry problems and was not able to display football (well technically it could but it made a right mess of it)

Lets hope its good, just id keep the champers on ice ;)

Yep, if they're that price I'll be buying one straight away to replace my ancient CRT in the living room.

Hell I'll be replacing my 27" LCD at that price. Native HD on a CRT must look amazing surely

EDIT - Thinking about it, maybie this is just HD compatible not ture native HD, hope I'm wrong tho.

After some searching around the USA Samsung TX-R3081WH - 30" and cheapest at $699 or £399.

Uk spec tv - remember has to do 50+60hz with a 2" bigger screen cheaper than the USA price - i think not.

Something does not compute.
