My 206 is covered in oil under the engine and there is oil in the coolant expansion tank too. It also seems to be running on 3 cylinders aswell.

Is this a possible blown head gasket?

It was running on 3 cylinders a year ago but had no4 injector replaced and that fixed it until now.

It looks like it started on the left side of the engine as if you were looking under the bonnet while standing in front of car.

No sure how much oil is in the water but when I dipped my finger in it looked/smelt oily.

It is clean under the oil cap. I check that every month or so anyway when I top screenwash up etc.

Sounds like its gone to me and a possible warped head, get it to the garage to confirm though.

That is always a possibility with a HGF but nothing he has posted makes that any more likely so far.

Get it to a garage to be tested, doesn't take long.

It's the 1.4i petrol. Can't remember the exact code for it.

EDIT: TU3JP I think.

They always fail as they age!

The head gasket hardens and the rubber seal for the oil supply to the head fails leaking oil into the cooling system.

It is an easy and relatively inexpensive fix.

You will need forte "Bio-Flush" to get the goo out of the cooling system.

Expect HGF on the Pug/Citroen 8v engines any time from 6 years onwards!

(If you are buying one, always check the coolent resevoir for oil. It is not a "Walk Away" issue, just a haggling one though)

The running on three cylinders is lily not to be related. HGF rarely affects compression on these but injector/coilpack failure is common!

Just been to a garage and they plugged their code reader in and said there is something up with one of the injectors. Don't know if it's related to the leak like you say.

They said the leak is possible gasket failure but they said they have seen worse so nothing to worry about.

Booked it in for Friday for them to have a proper look and to quote/fix.

EDIT: I've already tried 2 different coil packs, as mentioned in my first post, I had problem with no4 injector last year so don't think it will be the coil pack.

common for the injectors to go on these 1.4 tu lumps
cant say common for the head gaskets, but they are easy to change if you got the tool / knowlage if not shouldnt cost to much to get a on the side mechainic to change if your low on funds. the gasked and bolts them self will only cost like £30 then oil ,filter and coolent for another £30, might as well change the cam belt for £60 and some one will do it all for like £150 - 300 or give it a go your self.
