Head set?

Was thinking of getting a head set as the girlfriend complains about the 'racket'.

If money is no object whats the best headset I could get? I would want it for gaming so it would need a mic, but I also would want the best audio I could get for music.

Any thoughts?
 
Headphone + mic > headset, in my personal experience. How much do you want to spend?

I've always used Sennheiser so nothing to compare them with, but they are really good quality and I've had mine over seven years, no problems yet. As for the mic, Logitech do decent desktop mics for a tenner or so, I recently bought a Samson Meteor USB Microphone though and the quality difference is very noticeable.
 
Fair enough, each to their own! :) I've no experience with the 2-in-1 kind so I'll let someone else offer sound advice!
 
after some reading I found the Astro A50? What do people think? I worry that as they are wireless they will lose some sound quality over wired equivalents and/or while gaming experience a sound delay for the same reason?
 
pc 350 are an excellent choice. especially with the closed cup means your missus won't hear anything from them either if you have them on loud. Nothing more annoying than just being able to hear one part of the sound.
 
I've been super happy with my PC160's that I've been using for nearly a decade.

But they're pretty much falling apart now and after numerous cable meets office chair wheels incidents I'd really like to get a wireless solution.

If Sennheiser could please release a wireless version of their G4ME ONE that would be great!
