I have searched a few times and it sounds like I need to swap the red and yellow wires due to the fact that the new head unit is not storing the memory every time I switch off the ignition but it doesnt look as easy as it sounds on my head unit :( So heres a few pics and hopefully someone can help!

The bullet connectors ( i think thats what they are ? ) have plastic round them...should I be ripping this plastic off? Just doesnt sound right.. or do i have to get the pins out of the block? they dont seem to want to move anyway.. :| !

Those bullet connectors should come apart if you pull gently (they have for me in the past). All you have to do then is push them back together once you have changed the red and yellow wires round. The plastic around them is for protection so the bare metal does not touch another.

hm i have tried doing it gently.. but thanks for the reply ! I spose i may have to just cut it slightly and them tape them back up to be extra safe. Cheers ! :)

The plastic is in two pieces, so just hold the bullet connectors at the edge of the plastic on each connector and pull. You really shouldn’t have to cut anything. It’s the whole point of those two wires having bullet connectors on them.

Hmm i just kinda figured tht out there lol excuse my noobish-ness..first car and first head unit but lookin to learn :p Now jst having to try to wriggle the connectors out ! Cheers guys.
