Hey,

I'm looking for a set of headphones, now these are only going to be used now and again at night so I'm not looking to ***** £100+ on a pair of Astro's etc.

I've looked at the 4GAMERS CP-PRO Officially Licensed Gaming Headset which seem great for the price but I'm concerned about the connectivity of these.

Does anyone know how they connect? Do you have to connect them using rf leads to the TV only with connecting the playstation via rf like I've read?

My current setup is PS3 > AMP > TV using HDMI so how would I connect these?

Anyone got any other recommendations for a sub £50 pair? A mic is not important as I'd only use these every now and then at night so me shouting down a mic would kind of defeat the purpose :p

Looking at the 4Gamers site, their instructions seem to say you've got to run the composite cable from the PS3 into their funny pass through connector even if you're using a HDMI cable. I'd link you to the instructions... but they've got a god awful flash site.

If you're not looking to specifically have a mic, and you're on a low budget. I'd just look at getting as decent a pair of Stereo headphones as your budget allows and plug them into your TV/Amp. You don't need to stick to gaming brands.

Yer the site's godawful I know! I watched a youtube review and it showed you the connector, really stupid...

You're probably right about the stereo's.

I'll take a look at the turtle beaches as well though - actually I'm on PS3 so won't sorry, should have mentioned :p

i picked up a pair of turtle beach px21's last year, the sound is great and the mic works perfectly, definatly worth the price... can normally find them around £50-£60 and they are getting very popular in the supermarkets along with highstreet catalogue shops :)

edit: make sure you get the PX21's not the X11's as the PX21's are designed to work with the ps3 the X11's wont
